An experiment in New Media

Hi, My name is Karthik Subramanian.

I am a journalist with The Hindu, a leading national daily headquartered in Chennai, a South Indian city.

I have blogging for the past three years, and have created this blog to experiment with podcasting and videocasting interviews and news stories that I cover for my newspaper. Hence the 360 degrees tag.

I was a part of an international training on new media in 2005 conducted by Institute of International Journalism. The Institute is run by Inwent, a German-government funded capacity building organisation.

This blog is more a experimental venture through which I wish to learn how far a print journalist could go in the new media environment.

Thanks for your time and energy.

Hi Karthik. Good to see you more on the electronic media. A bigger audience and greater reach. Enroll yourself for Google adsense and start networking more and you will start getting more regular readers online to contribute to the eyeballs. I am one of your regular readers. Keep blogging.
